Why does a payment need to be approved?


Payments need to be approved as a security measure, to protect your business from fraud and give you greater control over the funds leaving your acounts. You'll need a smartcard to approve all payments that you send externally from your Bankline accounts.

Your Bankline administrator can add a number of controls to your profile, including 'dual authoiration'. This requires two users to approve payments over a certain amount.

Any payment you create in Bankline will need to be approved within a certain time. The time will differ depending on the type of payment you're making.
