Q:

What is an international payment?

A:

An international payment is a payment made within the Republic of Ireland in a currency other than euro, or a payment to a beneficiary outside the Republic of Ireland, in euro or another currency.

International payments:

  • May require a foreign exchange deal (this will be done automatically if you don’t have a foreign exchange facility with us)
  • Can be standard or urgent priority.

Care should be taken when keying international payments to ensure all information is provided and names and numbers are correct to avoid any delays to your payment.
